educational opportunities

The Education Department offers 3 sessions of classes per year. Fall classes run from mid-September through mid-December; Winter/Spring classes begin in mid-January and run through May; Summer classes are held from mid-June through August.

Any child from age 2 through grade 8 may enroll in a class at the appropriate age level. High school students may enroll in adult classes.

Periodically, parent-child or intergenerational workshops are offered. Classes vary from pottery, weaving, and puppets to calligraphy, painting, and sculpture.

Studios A and B in the Margaret MacNider Education Wing and the Ceramic Studio in the basement are where most of the classes are held.
