Kids' Club is an activity-based exploration of the visual arts and the treasures of the MacNider Museum for children ages 5 through 12 !

 

How do I join??

Those interested in becoming a member of Kids' Club can stop by the MacNider Art Museum to sign up and receive their membership card or register at any North Iowa First Citizens National Bank location. First Citizens' Power Saver Club is the official sponsor of MacNider Kids' Club.

How much does it cost??

Nothing! All Kids' Club programming is free thanks to the First Citizens Power Saver Club!


 

Why should I join??

This club is designed especially for you! Through special mailings, programs, and collector cards you will discover that art can be fun!

IT'S A NATURAL!


Artists use everything for inspiration and materials and the natural world has always been a favorite source.

This Kids' Club will work with everything from rocks to pinecones to create their own masterpiece.


June 2008

Tuesday, June 17, 6:30 - 7:30 pm

CATCH OF THE DAY

Visit Robert Rauschenburg's colorful work, then use Polaroids,
magazines cut-outs, stickers and even photos from home to make a
large-scale photographic, mixed-media collage.

If you, or someone you know, would like to help out with this exciting program and are high school age or older please contact Linda Willeke. She will fill you in on what Kids' Club is all about and how you can be part of the FUN!

When special items are needed for a Kids' Club activity they will be listed here.

General Art Studio Donation:

o Interesting Fabric - fuzzy, sparkly, shiny, velvety

o Used T-shirts in child or small adult sizes

o Marbles

o Shells

o Buttons

o Beads

o Old jewelry

Please bring all of your donations to the front desk of the Museum and make sure they are clearly marked "Kids' Club Wish List" or "Art Studio Donation"
