Pre-Departure Reception & Orientation Session * PLUS Lecture Series: Art of the Southwest

Held at the MacNider Art Museum - time and date to be announced

Day 1 - Monday, Sept. 22

  • Depart MSP at 11 AM (includes taxes, transfers)
  • Arrive Hilton Santa Fe near the Historic Plaza late afternoon
  • Relax from traveling
  • Walk across the Plaza to dinner at the famed Shed restaurant (included)

Day 2 - Tuesday, Sept. 23

  • American breakfast at hotel (included each morning)
  • Guided walking tour of Historic Plaza area
  • Receive 4-Day Museum Passes (included)
  • Explore downtown including: New Mexico Museum of Art and Palace of the Governors Museum
  • Finished with Museums by late afternoon? Explore 10,000 Waves Spa or visit the galleries of Canyon Road on your own. Join Staff in PM for Q & A session
  • Dinner on your own

Day 3 - Wednesday, Sept. 24

  • Studio tour and visit with Rebecca Bluestone, weaver
  • Free afternoon. How about a hike in the gorgeous Santa Fe hills? Or stroll through the downtown galleries
  • Dinner at the lovely Santacafe Restaurant (included - sponsored by UBS Wealth Management)

Day 4 - Thursday, Sept. 25

  • Travel with guide by motorcoach to Museum Hill to wander through: Museum of International Folk Art, Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Wheelright Museum
  • Meet sculptor Don Smalley
  • Visit Museum Hill Galleries on return
  • PM - Travel by coach to Rancho de Chimayo Restaurant for dinner (included)

Day 5 - Friday, Sept. 26

  • Guided day trip to the charming town of Abiquiu, and Ghost Ranch, where Georgia O'Keeffe lived and worked
  • Lunch at Café Abiquiu (included - sponsored by Moorman Clothiers)
  • Tour Georgia O'Keeffe's home
  • Dinner on your own

Day 6 - Saturday, Sept. 27

  • Visit Shidoni Outdoor Sculpture Garden to see bronze pouring
  • Lunch at Tesuque Market on your own
  • Optional dinner at Casa Sena

Day 7 - Sunday, Sept. 28

  • Check out from hotel
  • Leave Albuquerque 2 PM
  • Arrive Minneapolis 6 PM
  • On your own to Mason City
